Hello ☺️ I’m Beatriz (or B!), a Montessori educator specializing in early childhood and working directly with families during pregnancy and the first years.
I was a babysitter and nanny for around 10 years, and have always found myself surrounded by young children and their parents.
In 2022 I became certified by AMI as a birth-to-three Guide (through the Montessori Institute of Valencia). In my training, I learned how to support the needs of children in this age range and their families, and had a wonderful experience observing and practicing at a bilingual school in Amsterdam.
These experiences cemented my love for babies, toddlers, and the Montessori approach as a way to respect and encourage their individuality and growth.
To me, education starts at birth, and it’s clear that we need to have professional educators and parents working together for the benefit of children and society.
Discovering Montessori parent-child playgroups in Amsterdam and Berlin made me fall in love with the practice. I then got training with Ananda Montessori and started my own playgroup classes in Porto - which welcomed babies, toddlers and their parents in a prepared environment.
Since early 2023 I’ve also started offering remote, 1-on-1 support services:
